At Rite Aid I spotted a new spring nail polish collection. It is called 'Les Blancs' and it is a collection of pale pastels and 2 pale pastels with matte black glitter. I saw this and knew I had to try one or two out. I liked how they looked and I like wearing pastels on my nail but sometimes they are streaky, uneven or are too sheer. At first I grabbed the 2 glitter pastels on the end. No matter how much I want to like these 2, black multi sized glitter reminds me of cookie crumbs. So I could never wear these because I would look down and think 'crushed Oreos'. I put them back and picked up the next 2 that I felt wanted to come home with me. I picked a pale peach called 'Peach Neglige' and a pale green called 'Mint Glacee'. The green reminds me of a Shamrock Shake from McDonalds. At Rite Aid this week there is a BOGO 50% off sale on L'Oreal cosmetics. The Les Blancs polishes are $5.99. The pictures really do the colors no justice. They are very delicate, light colors that are perfect for spring. They don't sit even on the naïl for me. You can't really tell by looking at the but in photos you can tell. You have to do thin coats. Besides that they are very pretty polishes that I know will get some wear in the spring

I could not believe that these products were on clearance. I literally almost fell down. As a makeup nerd, I have never found anything like this before. These cosmetics are VERY current and recent cosmetics! The l'Oreal limited edition liner came out like a month ago! I have no idea why they were on clearance. They don't have room? Overstock? Either way it made me one happy person when I left with over $100 worth of cosmetics for $15.
There were some new displays at Walgreens and Harmon. It looks like there are some new Sinful Shine spring colors out. These were in a random display among the Easter Items. Sinful Shine Polishes are usually $2.99. At Harmon's there was a new Sally Hansen Display for Xtreme Wear nail polishes. They are glitter polishes. I bought a few of them and will do another post on them soon. They were $2.69. This is the new Revlon Collection based on the new Spider-Man Movie. It looks like there are some repromotes along with some new glosses and polishes.
I had received a lot of Rite Aid receipt coupons and Catalina coupons for Almay and L'Oreal. I checked next week's rite aid flyer to see what kind of deals were going on. This week had better Almay and L'Oreal sales.
I couldn't get the Pixi cosmetics on clearance at Target out of my head. Not only do I love the adorable packaging I love the eyeshadow palette I got 2 weeks ago. I have used it every morning since. The colors blend together seamlessly and they have great pigmentation. I like the range of colors and every combination I have used has looked great. They blend easily together and the colors blend out almost perfectly. With some eyeshadows when I blend, I end up blending away most of the color. Then I have to reapply. That doesn't happen with these. And for 70% off I know if I don't get them now, I will regret it. I got $71.00 of Pixi cosmetics for $20.00. (Picture Heavy) I picked up 3 Pixi gift sets at Target. Once I realized I loved these cosmetics, I HAD to go back and pick more up while they are on clearance. I could never afford these cosmetics normally. 2 of the gift sets were $28 and one was $15. Pixi cosmetics are available at Target and pixibeauty.com
The next gift set I bought I had picked up and put back 3 times over the past 2 months when I went to Target. I first saw this set 2 months ago and I was thisclose to buying it. But I couldn't justify paying $20 bucks for it. The set retails for $28 dollars. When I bought it yesterday it was on sale for $8.40 or 70% off. The 'Daylight Glow Collection' comes with a bag, nail polish, lip balm and eyeshadow.
I am very happy I decided to try Pixi cosmetics. They are a great brand with a nice range of colors and products
I don't know how else to start this post except with I GOT 2 REVLON PHOTOREADY SKINLIGHTS for .86 cents! I went to Walgreens last night and was blown away by the clearance. I have another post later on describing the incredible other deals I got. These were on clearance for $3.24 each. These just recently came out over the past 3-4 months. I have no idea why they are on clearance. They are normally around $12.99 each.
I had $2 off Revlon Face coupons from coupons.com. When I went to the register I brought these 2 up and used 2 $2 Revlon coupons. When she said .86 cents I put my bills away and dug in my purse for change. I looked at my receipt and for some reason these clearance Revlon items were on the weekly sale of BOGO 50%. $3.24+$1.62 ( BOGO 50%) = $4.86 -2.00 + -2.00. ------------------------- $1.24 + -.38 cents - .38 ---------------- .86 cents for 2 Rvlon Skinlights (retail value of $25.98.) That's about 97% off !!!! In an upcoming post I will have swatches of the Skinlights. I also got a bronze one. This is one of the best deals I have gotten. Unfortunately there are 2 makeup brands I can never find products that I like: Rimmel and Cover Girl. I try. Believe me I try. When Cover Girl came out with their Bombshell Collection along with their Tru line, I wasn't running to any stores trying to find them. I bought the TruMagic illuminizer and clear balm. Meh. I tried one of the new concealer crayons. Meh. Finally I gave the Bombshell Collection display a look. I bought the Bombshell mascara. I actually liked it! I decided to try and keep my streak going so I bought the new cream eyeshadows. Disliked! I tried the Bombshell liquid liner. Nothing jaw dropping. I gave it one more shot and picked up one of the new polishes. I bought the pink polish called 'Bombshell' first. I love pink so it caught my eye. It is a a metallic, shimmery, glittery magenta. It is actually a really nice color. The formula is a little thin so make sure to wipe the sides of the brush on the bottle or it will drip.
The other day I had to use up a $1 off a P&G Product coupon from CVS. I also had a $3 off 2 Cover Girl products MFC. At CVS Cover Girl is BOGO 50% off this week. I picked up the last 2 polishes in the bombshell display: A black polish called 'Diva after dark' and a silver polish called 'Show Stopper'. When I realized they both had glitter and shimmer like the pink polish I was sold. The glitter looks a little iridescent and multicolored. The polishes are $5.99 each. With all the coupons, both polishes came to around $6. Each of these colors has a lot of depth. They are more than just 'pink', 'black' and 'silver'. I think Cover Girl did a great job of going beyond the cream polishes. Some of the Hunger Games glosstini's have the same depth and dimension. I hope they do more polishes like these in the future. (Sorry about the sloppy painting. It was a long day) My favorite coupon is back at www.coupons.com: $5 off 2 Almay Cosmetics. If you find some clearance Almay or tie this coupon in with a RIte Aid or CVS coupon, you can get some great deals on Almay. I know at riteaid.com under the video values section, there is a $3 off Almay coupon that you can use WITH the $5 off 2 MFC> During my trip to Target last night, I picked up 2 Almay Wake Up under eye concealers. These claim to conceal, reduce the appearance of dark circles and puffiness and instantly cool to provide a luminous finish. I have used the wake up foundation before and liked it.
Their original retail price is $7.99 each. They were on clearance for $2.38. The total of the products were $4.76. I used the $5 off 2 Almay coupon and got both for free, plus got .24 cents taken off the rest of my purchases. You can't beat free!! This month at Sally Beauty it is BOGO free on China Glaze. I went today after work and scored some great polishes. Some employees left up the red tag clearance sign next to the clearance items. The red tag sale is once a month Sally Beauty has an extra 50% off all of their clearance items, which have red clearance tags. The nice cashier told me that the sale as not going on but she would give it to me anyway. I score an Orly and China Glaze polish, pics to come. Plus the nice cashier threw in a Christmas China Glaze stuffed bear to give to my daughter for free! Anyway, I picked up 2 china Glaze polishets from 2 of their new collections: Sea Goddess and City Flourish Collection. Each polish rang up $4.99 with my sally beauty card. They can range from $4-$6.
I don't know why I waited so long to try this. I have found another permanent foundation for my daily makeup routine. At Rite Aid this Past Sunday I did the L'Oreal Up Rewards deal. If you bought $20 you received $5 Up Rewards. I finally bought the L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder in Classic Ivory. This foundation is unlike any I have used before. I have read online on different blogs that it is a dupe of Georgio Armani Maestro Fusion foundation. That foundation sells for $64 dollars a bottle. Armani makeup is a L'Oreal brand. The magic nude liquid powder sells for around $12.99.
The foundation literally disappears as soon as it hits your skin. The liquid 'magically' turns into powder. It gives you enough time to blend it into your skin. It doesn't turn 'powdery' or leave behind residue. It feels like it melts into your skin leaving behind soft, even looking skin. As I have mentioned before on here, I have several skin issues. This evens out the redness, covers blemishes and gives a healthy look to my skin with a slightly matte finish. This foundation just looks so natural on my skin. It blends in perfectly and lasts all day while I'm at work. One way I judge foundations or creams is by my cell phone. In the afternoon, when Im NOT sitting in my car at a red light on my phone to my husband, I check my phone after I hang up with him. Some foundations leave behind a film of foundation on the screen. Even if I have been running around all day at work, I don't leave a foundation film on my phone with the Magic nude. To me that is a great indicator that my makeup has stay put all day and my skin is not oily. I highly recommend this foundation to anyone looking to try something new or looking for a foundation to smooth the look of their skin, give them a slightly matte finish and to stay put for 6+ hours. Jumping on the Nude color trend bandwagon, L'Oreal created a Collection Privee collection. Right now they have lipstick and nail polishes. There are 6 Celebrity spokeswomen. Each celebrity has their own lipstick and nail polish. Their "Color" is supposed to flatter people with similar hair and skin tone. The shades are all in the nude/neutral range. I chose the lipstick shade by celebrity actress Freida Pinto. Although she has completely different hair and skin color, I really liked the color of the lipstick. ($8.99)
These are Deborah Lippman Limited Edition polishes from the 'I'm not edible' collection. They are pastel cream polishes with black glitter. They are $20 each. I stopped at Sally Beauty today and saw these at the check out. The Deborah Lippman polishes immediately came to mind. I bought a pink, green and purple one. These mini polishes are oh so adorable. Plus the green and the pink look pretty close to the Deborah Lippman Polishes. The Sally Beauty polishes are a lighter pastel but besides that they look pretty darn close. From left to right the colors are 'Mint Chip', 'Cherry Chip' and 'Grape Sherbert'.
For only .99 cents each compared to Deborah Lippmann's $20 each, I think the Sally Girl polishes give the Lippmann polishes a run for their money. (If you are a SallyBeauty Member you get these for .94 cents) Below are the polishes on the nail. They gave nice coverage and dried fairly quickly. These colors just scream spring. I had to go back today after my amazing haul the other day. I couldn't get some of the higher end palettes out of my head. Palettes by NP, Pixie and Sonia Kashuk. I had to get one. I got both the Maybelline Color Show nail polishes for .36 cents. One was .88 cents and the other was $1.47. I had 2, $1 Maybelline Nail polish coupons that I used to bring the total down to .36 cents. The bright orange is called 'Orange Fix'. This would be a great summer polish. 'twilight Rays' is a pretty black with gold glitter throughout. I decided on the Pixie eye glow cube in 'Lucent Lid Light'. I have never tried anything from Pixie because they are too expensive for me. I love the name, I love the packaging and hopefully I will love this Palette. It originally retails for $28.00 and I paid $8.40 for it. Below are some close up pictures of the palette. Hidden under the eyeshadows is a pull out drawer with 2 foam applicators and 2 eye base powders.
I'm excited about giving this a try because I would normally NEVER be able to afford a $28 eyeshadow palette. If I like it, I might try and get a different one at Target. There were CRAZY clearance deals on cosmetics at Target. The retail value of all the makeup I got is $125.25. I got it all for $14 dollars!!!!!! This has got to be my best haul to date! Every brand had items on clearance. I used a coupon for every item I had. The clearance total came to $50. With coupons It came to $14. The cashier I went to even called the manager over because she thought that this couldn't be possible and I was doing something to 'con' the store. She complained to the manager that I had a coupon for every item and every item was a clearance item. The manager came over and told her that everything I'm doing is perfectly fine. Check out my finds and see if there is anything that you would want to try. The prices are too good to pass up. I know Target prices vary from location. If you see a product and there is no sticker, scan it anyway. (Pic heavy!)
I did an early evening run to Rite Aid. I purchased a few skin, hair and makeup products. My total came to 40.98. With coupons and Rite Aid Up Rewards my final total came to .98 cents. (Sorry about the picture below. I didn't realize until after that the L'Oreal Advancd Care was upside down)
