I found a few things to take home with me. I love the Fergie polishes and have almost every one except some early spring/ summer shades from around 3 years ago. I finally found one of them at Big Lots. It is a slightly pale yellow cream called 'Ferga-colada'.
They had tons of Maybelline eyeshadows. They are the ones that left to make way for the new eyeshadow designs that are in stores now. I got a purple/navy/black/soft white combination called 'Amethyst Smokes'.
I rounded out my trip with 2 Maybelline Color Sensational lipsticks. I got 2 similar shades called 'So Pearly' and 'Sparkling Sand'
I was so disappointed with this polish. I got so excited when I found this color. I have been looking for almost a year for this shade and 1 or 2 others. The polish was very runny and watery. It pooled to my cuticles. It was patchy and dried extremely uneven. It was a horrible cream polish. Luckily I only paid $1 at Big Lots for it. The polish retails for around $3.99. I'm happy I have it for my Fergie collection but I'm sad that the polish sucked. I will keep trying it though! |
I picked 2 very similar in color. I liked both of these because they are very sheer. You almost can't tell I'm wearing anything. I like using the shades if I want my eye makeup to be the facial focus. The first swatch is Sparkling Sand and the second is So Pearly. They were only $1.50 each. They usually retail around $7.50 each in stores. This purple/navy palette from Maybelline is surprisingly excellent. The only powder eyeshadow I like and use are the EyeStudio quads. The shimmer and matte powders go on smooth and opaque on the first swipe. Sometimes Maybellines matte shadows can be very dy and patchy. These used to retail between $6 and $7. But because these were sent packing for the new eyeshadow designs, you could get these much, much cheaper now. There were a ton of colors at Big Lots. For only a $1.50 I might take a mommy/daughter makeup field trip for a few more. They also had single and trio shadows. |
