We went to get my 20 month old daughter water shoes and even she knows my obsession for makeup. We walked by the beauty department and she points and says 'Mommy makeup!!!'.
In the aisles I found 2 L'Oreal Color Riche Caresse Lipsticks on clearance for $2.38. (One had a price of $5.58 but it scanned $2.38). These retail for $7.99. I have noticed the Caresse lipsticks on clearance in most drugstores as well. L'Oreal must be discontinuing them for a reformulated Caresse lipstick or a completely new lipstick to take its place.
I also found a Revlon Colorstay eyeshadow quad on clearance for $1.78.
The Caresse lipsticks applied buttery smooth. My lips tend to be very dry year round and these lipsticks dîdnt cling to my dry skin. It actually felt like it helped moisturize my dry lips.
I actually really like these lipsticks and I am sad I didn't discover them sooner. I'm going to try and pick up a few more before they are gone for good. They apply extremely soft and smooth. I like the sheer color it gives as well. It's no where near as sheer as Maybelline Color Wispers but it gives a nice watered down wash of color. I like using these types of lipsticks when I want the focus of my makeup to be my eyes.
I used 2, $1 off L'Oreal Target coupons and brought the price down to $1.38 each.
I loved everything about this palette: the color, the texture, the staying power....just everything!
The colors surprised me. I wasn't thrilled when I first bought the shadows. Once I swatched the, I realized how nice they look together. The silver, dusty mauve, and grey/purple were each buttery soft with nice color and sparkle payoff. The black is a matte black. It has a harder texture than the other 3 but was surprisingly not patchy or uneven upon application. It gave a nice, smooth wash of black.
I used a $1 off MFC on this so it only cost .78 for this Revlon eyeshadow.
