It is a pink drying
This is one of my FAVORITE find ever at Dollar Tree. I know the AcneFree Brand so I figured I would try it. I ended up going back and buying the last 3 this week.
It is a pink drying

Extremely late but here are my CVS budget buys. I got $120 dollars worth of products for $21 after manufacturer coupons, store coupons and store rewards. Plus I got $42 Extra Bucks for my next budget haul.
At Rite Aid and Walgreens I saw the All Access Beauty Coloricon eyeshadow collection by Wet n Wild. It is a limited edition collection. I was very surprised to see this because it was released at least 6 weeks after the All Access Beauty bronzer and nail polish summer collections. I guess better late than never. They retail for $2.99 each at Rite Aid and $3.99 at Walgreens. Below is an orangey peach, brown and pink combo called 'Standing my Camp-Ground'. The colors were very soft and smooth to apply. They had good pigmentation. Below is a champagne, purple and periwinkle combo. This is the first one I bought. The colors were soft with smooth application. The last 2 Coloricon eyeshadows I bought were a sand, chocolate and orange combo and a yellow, turquoise and hot pink combo. Both had excellent color payoff and had smooth, even application. The Wet n Wild Coloicon shadows are always a great bet for quality budget eyeshadows. I like their powder eyeshadows better than brands like Maybelline and Revlon. I definitely recommend any of these trios, especially if you like color shadows.
Physicians Formula came out with a 'Sexy Booster' line of cosmetics a few months ago. The included a blush, eyeliners, mascara and eyeshadow quad. The eyeshadow has 4 colors with an applicator and mirror. Don't let the silver designs fool you. They are only on the top layer of the shadow and brush off quite easily. The shadow has ingredients like chocolate that are supposed to 'aid' in the sexiness of the shadows. There is a silky champagne, taupe, milk chocolate and black shadow in the palette.
The colors went on pretty smooth. The lighter colors did require a few applications to build up the color. I was very underwhelmed when I used the shadows on my eyes. They didn't make them look 'sexy' to me. There are plenty other neutral palettes that I like better. Cheaper ones too. This definitely is not going to be my run to neutral eye palette. At $12.99, it's a pretty steep investment for only 4 shadows. What can I say. I love Disney. I love makeup. So when E.L.F. Came out with princess themed makeup, I was all over it. What I love even more than the makeup sometimes is the artwork and packaging. Here is the Snow White Beauty Book found exclusively at Walgreens, for $9.99. The beauty book consists of eyeshadow, primer, eyeliner, blush and lipgloss. There was a mirror on the left side like in the movie. Underneath the mirror it says 'Mirror, Mirror on the wall'. I like the Snow White eyeshadows better than the ones in the Ariel palette. The colors have a better range. I really liked the colors in this palette. The shadows were excellent. Very smooth, soft and rich. The color payoff was excellent as well. I'm always iffy on E.L.F. Shadow palettes because there always seems to be some dry, chalky shadows. All of these shadows are fantastic. It also comes with an eyeshadow primer. The rest of the palette contains a mini eyeliner, blush and mini gloss. The blush is a beautiful natural peachy rose. I used my own brush to apply. It wasn't showing up in pictures unfortunately. I was surprised by the gloss. I never like reds but this was a very wearable sheer raspberry red.
Overall I'm very happy with this Beauty Book. I love the shadows and blush. I wish it was a little easier take with you or if the eyeshadows popped out. But the artwork and shadows definitely make this Snow White Beauty Book worth getting for $9.99. Recently Rite Aid has been putting out quite a few Bonita Nail Displays. Nothing really earth shattering but a lot of pretty solid cream colors. I picked out this teal turquoise from their Spring collection ($2.49) The consistency of the polish was a little thin. The polish also looked flat. When I added a top coat it looked a little better. The color didn't stain which is good for a rich color like this. Not a bad polish for $2.49 but I was very unimpressed. I saw this cute Halloween collection by Bonita for $3.99. It had great Halloween colors plus 2 glow in the dark colored polishes. It also came with Halloween nail stickers. Oh how I wanted to like these. The colors were perfect for Halloween. But I honestly had to put on 8 coats for the yellow green and orang and 5 coats for the white and black. Ain't nobody got time for that.
Plus, they didn't glow in the dark. I went outside for a while and had them up to the light. Maybe I didn't hold them under the light for enough time but I got tired waiting. A Sinful colors Halloween display was spotted at Rite Aid. From what I could see most of them were permanent collection or previously available in limited edition collections except for one. I picked up Pumpkin Spice which is a red and gold glitter polish. It was available in avast falls collection. I love this polish. I have one from last year but I used it so much that it was hard to get the polish out. If you have the time, building up 4 or 5 layers of the polish alone makes a beautiful, sparkly, fall nail. It has smooth application with great glitter payoff. The new polish is a black and green glitter polish called 'Cauldron Couture'. It looks like it has a colored base but it's really clear with multi sized green and black hexagon glitter. It is very glitter dense but has good application. The first 2 swatches are on their own with no base color. The last 2 are over base colors. Autumn spice over gold and Cauldron over a pale blue.
I was able to use my store coupons, manufacturer coupons and store coupons to walk away from the register without exchanging money. I have never had that happen before. I didn't think it was possible without paying at least tax. Guess so!
My total came to around $83 dollars. I received $20 extra bucks and didn't use all my extra bucks from last week. The Cover Girl Hunger Games Glosstini's are currently in clearance for 75% off. The regular sized Hunger Games polishes are NOT on clearance. The Glosstini's came to .96 cents each. If you have some $1 off one Cover Girl Cosmetic MFC from the Aug P&G then you can get them for free. That's what I did. I used 5 MFC's and bought a candy bar. My total came to around .50 cents. Below are 5 of the shades I picked up. I love these polishes. I am not a fan of Cover Girl at all but these polishes made me stand up and give Cover Girl a slow, loud clap.
They are beautiful. Each polish has the perfect combination of micro glitter colors. They have such depth. I get bored of plain, solid nail polish so I end up throwing on a glitter top coat 5 min later. But these need no glitter. It would be a travesty to put glitter on top of these. A good top coat adds to the multi color depth. Overall I can't say enough about these. I am so glad they are keeping these polishes in the regular sized bottles. Run as fast as you can to Rite Aid to see if they still have these. If your not sold yet just try one. The yellow, orange or red. They are only .96 cents. They literally make your nails glow. And I mark this day on the calendar as the day I wrote 'love' and 'Cover Girl' in the same blog. I was excited to see these new Black Radiance duo sets at Walgreens. A few times a year they come out with great cosmetic sets at a bargain. Each set comes with an 5 eyeshadow palette and an all day mascara. Each set retails for $4.99. The mascara and eyeshadow retail for $4.99 each if bought separately in the Black Radiance display. I had to buy both sets. I loved the eyeshadow colors too much to decide on the. I have never tried Black Radiance mascara so I'm looking forward to that. The first set I bought has an Urban Identity eye palette called 'Legendary' and an all day mascara in black. The eyeshadow colors are a turquoise blue, black, yellow white and pink. The pink, blue and black swatched very well. I swatched all colors over primer. They were smooth and very pigmented. They blended easily with a brush. They required only one swipe of color. The yellow and white were a litthe dry and chalky. They required a few swipes of color for any buildup. Even over primer they weren't very pigmented. The next set I got was called 'Exquisite'. It has a beautiful set of browns: a copper, light beige, dark brown, golden grown and a rich mahogany brown. I loved all these colors. They were all buttery soft with great application. The colors were vibrant and went on beautifully. This palette is definitely my favorite of the 2. Overall I'm very impressed with both eye palettes. Legendary has 2 shades that are a little chalky but all the rest have beautiful texture and pigmentation. I would definitely buy another shadow palette in the future.
Next thing to try is the mascara! Again, a little late on the weekly CVS Haul. This week there were a lot of Extra Buck deals on medication, lotions, and deodorants. A few things didn't make it into the picture because my husband had already taken them: Axe deodorant ($5.49) and spray ($5.99), Simple scrub and face wash ($7.99 each), IrishSpring Gear deodorant($5.99) and 6 pack soap ($5.99). And as you can see my little helper's knees made the picture. I'm creating a mini makeup and coupon monster. I couldn't fit everything in one picture. This first picture buys include Crest Pro-Health Toothpaste ($4.99), 14 pack Prevacid heartburn meds ($12.99), Zantac heartburn meds 24 pack ($8.99), Oral B 3D Action toothbrush ($6.99), 2 St. Ives spray lotions ($7.99 each), 2 Gas X Strip boxes ($6.99 each), Gas X Capsules ($7.49), 2 Suave kids shampoo/conditioners ($2.99 each), and Colgate Total Double Pack ($6.99). Beauty buys continued: Simple wipes ($6.49), 2 Fekkai hair kits ($14.99 each), Maybelline leather Color Tattoo eyeshadow ($6.99), Revlon lipgloss ($8.99), physicians Formula concealer ($12.99), L'Oreal Mineral Wear bronzer ($14.99), Physicians Formula eyeliners ($11.99), and Sally Hansen new Gel polish and top coat set ($15.99).
The retail total at the register was $209.00. After a brief heart attack then my store coupons, manufacturer coupons and store rewards, my total came to $34. (Heart Attack subsides) PLUS I got $70 in Extra Bucks towards my next Sunday trip!! $70!!!! That is my largest Extra Bucks haul ever! See you again next week for my CVS Budget Beauty Haul. My monthly ipsy bag contained items from bareMinerals, Lord & Berry, Hang 10 and Models Own and a Clear Clinic Laboratories spot acne treatment. Below is the deep brown cream eyeshadow swatch from bareMinerals. It went on very smooth and dried quickly. It had great staying power which in my experience most cream eyeshadows don't have. It dried darker and thicker than most cream eyeshadows I have. Below is the Models Own orangey red jelly iridescent flakie polish. I definitely liked it better on my nails than in the bottle. It was a true jelly polish. The left nail was swatched on its own with 3 coats and the 2nd nail was swatched over white. It went on smooth and had even glitter flakie payout. Overall I wasn't overly thrilled with July's ipsy bag. I liked the bareMinerals cream eyeshadow (could the sample BE any more smaller?) and the Models Own polish. I haven't tried the spot acne treatment which could sway my opinion of this months bag. Still for only $10 a month it's a great deal, especially to beauty product fans.
At one of my local CVS's they have the new Milani nail polishes. There are 36 new polishes. They are $4.99 each. I picked up a blue periwinkle called 'Peri-wink'. I was not really wowed by any of the colors. Their glitters were very commonly done glitters that I already had in my collection like a silver holographic glitter. And for me to turn down a glitter nail polish takes a lot. The swatch is more true to color than the bottle picture. As you can see the bottles are short and round. They remind me of an Ellen Tracy polish if you have any of those. I personally like the old bottle and brush better. The color was ok. I felt the old Milani polishes were better in consistency and formula. This dried very patchy on the first coat. I had to do 2 thin coats and one thick coat to make it work. Overall I am very 'Meh' about these polishes. I definitely recommend getting some of the old bottles if CVS or Walgreens still has them. For $4.99 there are plenty of better polishes out there.
This week my budget beauty haul retailed $52. After manufacturer coupons, store coupons and store rewards, my total came to $15 dollars. I also received $11 Extra Bucks towards my next purchase.
I picked up a Physicians Formula bronzer and eyeliner trio, Maybelline Pure BB Cream and eyeshadow single, 3 Julie G glitter nail polishes and a Bonne Bell lip gloss. Physicians Formula was BOGO Free, Maybelline was spend $10 receive $5 UP rewards, and Julie G/Bonne Bell was buy $12, receive $6 UP rewards. I will be doing an upcoming post on the new Julie G polishes as well as the Maybelline and Physicians Formula purchases. At Harmon I picked up one of the NYX Femme Fatale eyeshadow palettes. They had testers to try and I really liked the purple grey shimmer shadow. So for $5.99 I bought the Sex Bomb palette. I don't have a red shadow in my collection so thats another reason I bought it. I have noticed I either love or hate NYX eyeshadows. Some are too dry or lack pigmentation and some are great to work with. The shadows in this palette were some of the best I have worked with by NYX. There are matte and shimmer shadows. The give great color. The red and blacks are bold and the purple/grey, vanilla and tan colors were soft and pretty. It was a perfect combination. I actually wore the red shadow the other day. I used it in the crease of my eye. I didn't know what to expect. I was very surprised with how much I liked it. It was a bold pop of color but wasn't 'clown' looking at all. I felt it even brought out my blue eyes more. The black matte is an excellent accent color. It goes on smooth with great coor ad doesn't flake when you apply it. Below are the shadows in the Sex Bomb palette by NYX. Overall I am very happy with my NYX purchase. These shadows have great texture, color and application. The red, black matte and sparkly purple grey are my favorites. I definitely recommend this palette. Especially if you have wanted to try a new color shadow like red.
